Lagging Options
Lynx Products offers a variety of lagging compounds and coatings for all of your conveyor pulleys, which will provide added belt traction, as well as prevent your conveyor pulley from wearing as quickly. Lynx Product Corp also offers recoating services, which is a cost effective solution to buying a new pulley when one is not needed. Vulcanized Rubber Lagging:
- Vulcanized lagging is bonded directly to the pulley core for a long service life.
- Available in various compounds & durometers: SBR, EPDM, Neoprene, Nitrile, Natural Rubber, Millable Urethane, Carboxylated Nitrile and MSHA.
- All vulcanized pulleys are machine ground to provide exceptional run-out tolerances.
- Available Flat Faced or Crowned. Special crown profiles available upon request.
- Standard thicknesses of 1/4”, 3/8” and 1/2” available. Other lagging thicknesses available upon request
Vulcanized Lagging Groove Options:
- All groove options require a minimum 3/8” thick lagging.
- If Grooving is required, please specify the direction of rotation (except diamond grooving). In most cases, the apex (point) of the groove pattern is leading the rotation.

Replaceable Slide Lagging
A popular choice for drum pulleys since it can be replaced in the field without removing the pulley from the conveyor. Rubber is vulcanized to steel backing plates which are affixed to the pulley rim.

Wing Tip Lagging
Wing tip lagging extends belt and pulley life. Available for both standard and mine duty wing pulleys. Standard options include ¼” thick weld-on diamond groove lagging, or ¼” thick plain slide on lagging.

Spiral Wrap Rough Top Lagging
Cost effective lagging solution for smaller package or unit handling applications. Lagging is applied in ¼” thick 1” to 2” wide strips and is glued and riveted to the pulley face. Not recommended for pulleys over 8” in diameter.

Lynx-Cote Re-Coating Services
Is your worn lagged pulley heading for the scrap bin? Re-coating is a cost effective solution to buying a new pulley when one is not required. If your lagging is worn we can remove the old material from your pulley, and apply new Lynx-cote vulcanized lagging. Call Lynx Products Corp for your re-coating solutions.
